The Stalker: Ch 6

So...winglin is apparently down for maintenance and I really wanted to post up my update for the fanfic...so, I decided to post it here.

Ch 6

Howdy folks and Happy New Year! I know it’s been a while since I last updated…actually the last time I updated was last year (gasps). Anyways, I should refresh your memory on my fanfic. First off, we’ve introduced many of characters, probably the majority…and we have a mystery man. So far, Ron had finished his interview and seemed to have impressed everyone present…which means that things are going according to plan. We’ve taken a look at Tavia, and how she is as a person…as well as how her parents feel about her. Oh, and let’s not forget that Ron has met Tavia and they seem to have gotten off to a horrible start

Now you’re probably wondering…how is this story going to get even more interesting? Well…let us all find out as we embark unto this story together…

==

A surge of happiness ran through her body as she told him he was hired…this only meant that she is a bit closer to finding out the truth.

A smile was now plastered on Ron’s face as he wiped away that single tear that won everyone in the room over. Ron was very impressed with his own performance, and so were most people in the room. As he stood there thanking everyone modestly, he quickly analyzed each person, as he did during the interview. These people were not ordinary people, each one of them had their own motives…and for some reason he found out that the most innocent of them all was Linda, the one who had asked for help to begin with.

What he didn’t understand was why someone so innocent and naive would even suspect of something so grand. This was something he wanted to find out…from her, himself. After he had finished thanking and shaking hands with everyone present he left the board room and was on his way out of Eclipse Enterprise. With his phone in hand, he immediately called ‘home’ to inform his ‘parents’ of his achievement…once that was done…he walked over to a little flower shop, owned by Tavia Yeung…

He walked in looking at the flowers deciding which he should send to Nancy to tell her of the great news. Even though this was just part of his role, he had to make it realistic…and buying flowers for his ‘girlfriend’ only fit the description of a good boyfriend. As he was looking through the variety of flowers around the shop, someone had approached him.

Macy: Hi there, how can I help you, sir?

Ron looked at her and smiled: I’m trying to decide which type of flower to send to my girlfriend

Macy: well…I would suggest roses, maybe pink or red…depending on your preference really

Ron: Actually…do you have champagne coloured roses by any chance? My girlfriend always said she really liked those

Macy: Of course we do…they’re right back here…

Ron: That’s great…could you deliver them today, so she could get them before she leaves work?

Macy: You’re not going to give them to her yourself?

Ron shook his head: I think sending them to her is more romantic…and then I can pick her up after work…and see her walk out with my bouquet

Macy: I guess we can do that…let me go inside and ask my boss

Ron: Sure thing…I’ll wait here then

A few minutes later Macy had walked back out with Tavia beside her.

Tavia: It’s you again

Macy: You two know each other? Boss, is he your boyfriend?

Tavia: In his dreams. Anyways, what are you doing here? Do you want me to call the cops?

Ron: Whoa, calm down there miss…I wasn’t stalking you earlier today…I’m just new in town and asked you for directions…and now that my job interview is over, and was a success I thought I’d send my girlfriend a bouquet of flowers thanking her supporting me through all these years…

Macy: Boss…I think you’re over-reacting…he’s just here getting flowers for his girlfriend

Tavia: You’re so naïve Macy…that’s what he WANTS you to believe

Ron took out his wallet to show both Tavia and Macy a picture he took with Nancy

Ron: That’s my girlfriend…so…is it possible to get a bouquet delivered to her today?

Tavia: Well…first I need to check if the place your girlfriend works at, actually exists and then we’ll talk

Ron chuckled: Sure…if that makes you feel less paranoid…

He gave Macy, Nancy’s business card…and Macy called the place like Tavia had insisted, confirming that she works there

Macy: boss…he’s telling the truth…his girlfriend does work there

Tavia: Fine…then the delivery can be made

Ron: Thank you…well…aren’t you going to give me a card or something so I could write a message to her?

Macy: Oh, right…here you are sir, I’ll prepare the bouquet and personally deliver it there

Ron smiled: Thank you…at least some people in this world are nice

Tavia: Excuse me?

Ron looked at her: I don’t know what gave you the impression that I was stalking you, but I can assure you that I have a life and a job…and stalking you would be a waste of my time

Macy let out an audible laugh

Tavia: Well…I guess I was wrong for accusing you

Macy muttered: You were wrong…

Tavia: I’m sorry?

Ron smiled: Apology accepted…oh by the way…I was just hired by Eclipse Enterprise so…if you see me around this area don’t assume I’m here to stalk you or see you…

Macy couldn’t hold in her laughter any longer

Ron smiled: Well…I should pay for the bouquet and the delivery charges…and then I’ll be on my way

Tavia: well…since I misunderstood you, it’s on the house

Ron: Why thank you…I guess I’ll see you around then (he winked at her before leaving the shop)

Macy was in the back room preparing the bouquet and giggling to herself. She had never seen her ‘nice’ boss so worked up like today.

Tavia walked in: What’s so funny?

Macy: oh nothing...

Tavia tried to raise an eyebrow but failed

Macy: Ok fine...since you’re such a great boss and all...I thought...he was your boyfriend

Tavia looked outraged: What?

Macy: For some reason he seemed perfect for you...totally your cup of tea

Tavia: What? You must be out of your mind...how can a guy like him, be MY cup of tea?

Macy: I don’t know...it was this vibe I was getting off of him and plus he’s good looking, and seems really genuine...and the way you reacted once you saw him...well...it was like you two were a couple who got into this huge fight...I don’t know...I’m just saying things now

Tavia: Well...don’t you ever say something like that again...

Macy: ok boss...anyways the bouquet’s done...should I go and deliver it now?

Tavia: Sure...do as you please...but don’t forget the card

Tavia went out to pick up the tiny card that was left on the counter by Ron...and out of curiosity she read the content.

~ Card~

To Nancy:

Guess what? I just got the job at Eclipse Enterprise, and it’s due to your support.

Love you,

Ron

~ End~

Tavia muttering to herself: Eclipse Enterprise...I wonder how she’s doing...(she heaved a sigh)

~ Ng Residence~

Both Michelle and Wong Ching were very happy with the result from the interview...this meant that the first step in the operation was successfully completed and they will have a chance to crack the case. Wong Ching sat in his usual seat on the couch watching yet another TVB series

Wong Ching: You know...do you really think that Tavia Yeung is as evil as Kam Ling?

Michelle: I don’t think anyone can be as evil as Kam Ling...nor can anyone be as nice as Sam Ho...I really hate these unrealistic characters. I never understood what TVB was trying to portray

Wong Ching laughed: TVB isn’t trying to portray anything...they actually told us through that Sam Ho that if you speak nice words and do good deeds...good things come your way...such a bunch of bull

Michelle: Wow old man, I think I can agree with you there

Wong Ching: Did you call me an old man? And you think you’re so young? You know people should accept how old they are...and TVB should do that too...making that Yuen Chui-wan wear those colours that were more befitting for someone decades younger

Michelle: It’s always about criticizing TVB with you, isn’t it?

Wong Ching: Oh please...I criticize you plenty...and besides there are things I like in TVB series...that other show...Born Rich with the poor rating was a bit better...I think...maybe I am getting old...I don’t even remember how it was

Michelle: That Rene was really good...

Wong Ching laughed: I realized something from watching these series...

Michelle: And what’s that?

Wong Ching: Women are dangerous...and so...honey, I love you (he looked at his wife and smiled)

2009: A Year in Review: Just a few series

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I can't believe that 2009 is over and that we are currently in the year 2010...I think time totally flew by and it left me a tad bit confused. For some reason I felt that 2009 was one of my least productive years...to think about it...I seem to have not been able to finish any of my fanfics, my grades in university were not what I had hoped for and finally...the series that were out this year were definitely not up to par.

So…I started writing a year end review right before the year ended…yet I couldn’t complete it. I didn’t know of a creative way to show you my view of 2009. However, I figured it out…I’ll use something that I learned in school to convey my message across.

First off, I’d like to say thank you to everyone who continuously supported me and my fanfics over the years and that I truly believe that the motivation that keeps me writing is from your support. I know not everyone who reads, comments, but that’s a given for I, myself am a silent reader (for the most part). Academically, 2009 wasn’t the greatest year for me. I haven’t done as well as I would’ve liked…and so I’m making sure 2010 will be 100 folds better. So far, I’m starting off well, I’m doing my readings and I feel on top of things…but then again it only has been a few days into the term, so hopefully I can keep it up.

Anyways, as I stated previously, I will convey my view of 2009 using something I learned in school…and I did this last year as well when I wrote my year end review…so…what exactly am I going to use? Well…GRAPHS...and other stuff

As you can see from my not so clear graphs, I watched almost 50% of the series produced this year (I included those that were warehoused, and excluded shows like Chip, Beauty and Watchdog) However, of the series I did watch...I only enjoyed three of them. Yes, just THREE. They were You're Hired, Rosy Business and E.U.

And actually...I found myself enjoying You're Hired the most...it was a really entertaining series...I'm not saying that it was the best produced...but in my perspective it was definitely the most enjoyable. Now, you're probably wondering whether or not I've watched the anniversary series like Beyond and Born Rich...and my answer is...I started to...but gave up on both of them.

At first I did enjoy both series, especially Born Rich...but then it occurred to me...that there was just too much talking in both of them. It was always about people being evil, trying to gain more and more and other people bickering...and it wasn't even that witty bickering, it was just nonsensical...and so...i gave up on watching both of them. Beyond was the series that really ticked me off. Why...why must TVB create series with so much talking, so much glaring, and so much make-up? Why? Why?

So...I managed to watch the beginning and the end of both of those series...I used that trick that Power Chan spoke of in You're hired. Where, when people read long reports, they tend to look at the first few pages and the last few...and skip the middle...that's what I did...and from doing so I learned two valuable lessons...one from each of the two grand productions.

Lesson from Beyond: make-up is proportional to evilness...the more make-up you have on...the more evil you are

Lesson from Born Rich: In this day and age, always get a proper DNA test done before you call someone family

Thank you TVB for teaching me two valuable lessons.

And now to continue my review of 2009...let's see...remember how last year I said TVB gave Bosco too many useless roles...well...once again Bosco got more useless roles...and I realized that Kevin is good-looking...but must he always play those prince charming like roles? BF3, which I gave up on...was terrible...why did the producer make Kevin such a Hero and Wong He such a loser? Is it because kevin is better looking? Well...in my opinion...I find Wong He so much more manly...and portraying him as someone with low self-esteem and making him from the king of the world, to the world's slave...was too harsh. I didn't get it...and thus, i gave up on BF3. BF is Wong He's thing...so...the good news is...this probably means there won't be any more BF. Yay for no more crappy sequels to one franchise of series ^_^

I guess we'll end here for today...

So...until next time...I wish everyone a fantastic year, with great health, happiness and success...
